Progress stored on your device
With progress saving enabled, the website uses local storage under the key study-sprout-v1. It stores your latest 100 completed quiz sessions, including topic, score, question count, and completion time; flashcard ratings; and your saving preference. This data stays in this browser and is not sent by the website’s code to a server. It remains until you clear it, turn saving off, or your browser removes it. There is no cross-device sync.
On the My progress page, you can clear all stored scores and ratings or turn saving off. When saving is off, only that preference is retained locally; new activity is not persisted. If storage is blocked, the current page can still work with temporary data.
Messages
The contact page creates a draft in the page. It does not upload, send, or store your message. Copying uses your device’s clipboard when supported. Opening an email draft uses your email application; if you then send it, the publisher and the relevant email providers will process the message under their own arrangements.
Hosting and technical requests
Your browser requests website files from the hosting provider. The provider may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, requested URLs, and browser details in its logs. The publisher must identify its hosting provider and applicable retention practices before launching publicly. This project does not add analytics, remote fonts, or third-party scripts. Links to external educational resources leave this site and are governed by those services’ policies.
Advertising and cookies
The reserved ad areas are inactive placeholders. This version does not load Google AdSense or advertising cookies. If ads are enabled, this notice must be updated with the actual vendors, purposes, data uses, and choices before the change goes live.
For a future Google advertising integration: third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this or other websites. Google’s advertising cookies may enable Google and its partners to personalize ads based on visits across the internet. Google provides controls at My Ad Center; other vendors may offer their own opt-out pages, and some choices are available through YourAdChoices. These descriptions are conditional; those ad services are not active in this build.
Children and learners
The site offers general introductory educational material and does not ask visitors to create a profile or provide a birth date. Do not use the contact draft to share a child’s identifying or school information. Before enabling advertising or data collection, the publisher must evaluate its intended audience and implement any required child-directed treatment and privacy protections.
